Welcome back to The Leap! A newsletter to help individuals and businesses take their productivity to the next level.

There’s an important law every entrepreneur should understand.

Let’s jump into it!

Segal’s Law

This week I came across Segal’s Law, and I loved it. It goes like this:

"A man with a watch knows what time it is. A man with two watches is never sure."

I’ve been thinking a lot about this, and there are two areas of life and business that it applies to really well.

1. Make Quick Decisions

There are major pitfalls that come from amassing too much information before making a decision.

Most people follow this framework:

Think → Think → Think → Think

Follow this framework instead:

Think → Do → Feedback → Iterate

2. Riches In The Niches

You've got to avoid the "jack of all trades" trap.

Choosing a specific niche or area of expertise in your business is essential.

Just as someone with two watches receives inconsistent info, trying to cater to a broad range of services can lead to confusion.

And even worse, dilution of your expertise.

Remember, less is often more.

That’s it for this week!

Whenever you’re ready, here’s how I can help you grow your business:

  • Systems & Workflow Optimization: I help businesses, coaches, and consultants make more money while working fewer hours by improving their systems & workflows. Check out this free systems training video to learn how.
